Welcome to the Farchynys Stud web site. Fate started the stud
in 1990 with the acquisition of the Sec B stallion Coed Coch Pele
who was soon followed by a few well chosen broodmares. Our very
first foal, Farchynys Pelydryn, was born in 1992 and he is now
a successful stallion at the Giglberg Stud in Germany. We have
also exported ponies to the U.S.A., Denmark,Spain, Holland, France & Ireland.
Our ponies have won at most major shows, claiming several championships
and supremes each season. Ridden ponies continue to bring many
successes to their new owners, competing in all major competitions.
Such was our pleasure in having Pele, we lost no time in buying
the Sec A stallion Coed Coch Ariandy when he appeared at Fayre
Oaks in 1994. Whilst we have not bred so many Sec A's as B's, all
our stock is descended from these two stallions, and we now have
two look-alike sons, Farchynys Penri and Farchynys Aled to take-over.
Pele and Andy are now retired, but still both doing well at the
age of 28. They live out together, spending the Summer with friend
of ours away from the breeding activity!
The stud is set in some of the most beautiful countryside in Kent.
The main farm of 90 acres has stabling for 30 and our nearby farm
has additional grazing of 40 acres.
We hope you enjoy looking at our web pages. Visitors are most welcome to our
stud, we have about 40 ponies in total and usually have some youngstock and
ridden ponies for sale.
